BigPicnic Dissemination

Sofia University Botanic Gardens presented the BigPicnic project during the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU Flagship Conference 2nd FOOD 2030. The High Level Event took place in Agricultural University in Plovdiv on 14th and 15th of June, 2018.

 BigPicnic as a project, funded from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, was presented by posters prepared by BGCI. The team from UBG also presented part of its travelling exhibitions on “Urban Gardening – good practices” and “Traditional and little known edible plant species that can be grown in Bulgaria”. The exhibition included posters, demonstrations and different edible plant species. Leaflets and other information was available.

350 scientists from 32 countries visited the Conference and the Food Village was open to the general public as well. This information will be disseminated through the University Botanic Gardens and Sofia University websites and social media.
